Extended Health Care Plan – Mental Health Services Update

As of January 1, 2022 members at Canada Post and retirees will have expanded coverage for mental health benefits. The Canada Post EHCP will additionally cover visits to registered and clinical social workers with a bachelor’s degree. There is no change for registered psychologists. Further, Canada Post is making a permanent change so that you will no longer require a doctor’s recommendation to qualify for services from mental health practitioners.
