Dear Comrade,

We stand in solidarity with you as you bravely fight for your livelihoods and the future of Ontario and our communities. Fair pay, permanent jobs, reasonable workloads, and decent, affordable pensions should be standard for all LCBO workers.

We must put an end to the unacceptable interference by the Premier of Ontario in bargaining processes, his attempts to dismantle the LCBO, and his push to privatize alcohol sales, which ultimately diverts billions in public revenues to the private sector. This is a disgrace.

As proud trade unionists, we understand the difficulty of going on strike. Yet, when faced with the alternative of increased work for less pay, diminished pensions, and heightened insecurity, we recognize that striking is sometimes the only option.

We believe this struggle is not just about the current jobs and conditions but about securing a better future for the next generation. It's time for the LCBO to prioritize its employees and avoid further disruption by returning to the negotiating table with a reasonable offer that addresses workers' core demands.

CUPW is proud to support you in your fight for a better future.

Solidarity,

Jan Simpson
