Many of you may have received a letter from People Corporation and Coughlin.
As stated in the first paragraph:
“We are writing to inform you, as a current or former plan member, of an incident that may have affected the privacy of your personal information held by People Corporation, a company that provides group benefit services for Coughlin.”
Coughlin and People Corporation have taken all the steps required under current laws to ensure our members received this information and understand the situation.
Members whose personal information was impacted have been sent letters advising them what to do to access support from TransUnion (Coughlin’s partner handling this incident). Please note that if you did not receive a letter, then your personal information was not impacted.
Coughlin has assured CUPW that new security enhancements have been made to their systems to ensure the confidentiality of members’ personal information is protected.
