In Nova Scotia, a paramedic is on the scene before the ambulance ever gets to your home. That’s because your ambulance dispatcher is also a trained, experienced paramedic.

In an emergency, every second counts for your loved ones. Having a paramedic on the phone with you makes a difference.

But that standard of care is threatened. The provincial government has allowed Emergency Health Services to change qualifications for EHS dispatchers, implementing on cutbacks recommended by the Fitch Report. Emergency services availability, timeliness and quality are at stake.

Emergency Medical Dispatchers are the first link in your emergency medical team. Let’s keep the standard of care that our lives depend on!

Tell your MLA, Premier Houston, Health Minister Michelle ThompsonMedavie and EHS Nova Scotia  that you want to maintain that standard of health care and say no to service cutbacks!
