On day 6 of our nationwide strike, we continued talks with the Employer with the help of the government-appointed mediators.

Discussions focused on the same issues as the day before.

RSMC Unit

The RSMC Unit continued talks on the validation process.

The purpose of the validation process is to examine the values the parties cannot agree on. The aim is to ensure the values are appropriate and finalized before routes are restructured using the new hourly rate system. The process would allow the parties to modify inaccurate values by joint agreement.

If the parties cannot agree on a value, an arbitrator would make a final decision.

Urban Unit

The Urban Unit continued to focus on weekend delivery. As always, the Union’s priority is to ensure stability for our full-time weekday routes. We need to make sure that all jobs at the public post office are good jobs. We won’t let Canada Post pit current workers against future workers.

Stay Strong! Stay United!

Your actions are reminding the country just how relevant and important our work and our public post office is, no matter what the self-proclaimed “postal experts” have to say! The Negotiatiors are grateful for your continued support!

We are 55,000 strong, and together, we are unstoppable.
