Rebidding Assignments Upon Return to Work

On the day that our members return to work, the Union has learned that Canada Post is telling members, that were on long term assignments prior to the strike, they must now re-bid all assignments.

The Union is asking Locals to keep track of all the situations where this occurs and to collect all pertinent information. Please create a list of all pre-strike assignments, who was covering them and for how long, etc. and any new assignments they may bid on.

The Union is reviewing its options and will provide further direction as soon as possible.

In addition, the Union is asking Locals to collect information on any potential violations and how CPC will apply the collective agreement upon the return to work. We will keep you advised of the next steps.
