If you have a child with a disability, you might qualify for CUPW’s Special Needs Child Care Project under Appendix "L" or Appendix “J” of the Collective Agreement (Child Care Fund).
CUPW members who have children with disabilities and other special needs are eligible for financial assistance of $200/month for child care needs and related expenses, such as equipment, support workers and transportation. This project helps "level the playing field," bringing the costs of child care and related expenses of members with special needs closer to what other CUPW parents pay. It also recognizes the additional barriers that some of our members face in caring for children with disabilities.
